Gold Diploma for The American Bagel

Our bagel was awarded a GOLD diploma and medal at the Riga Food 2019 exhibition at the ceremony where the winners of the Bread Quality Competition were announced. The competition was organised by the Latvian Bakers Association in cooperation with the Faculty of Food Technology of the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies, the international trade fair organiser BT 1, and with the financial support of the Ministry of Agriculture. 11 manufacturers participated in the bread quality competition “Healthy bread for a modern consumer”, submitting 11 samples of bread for evaluation. The products were judged on their visual appearance, as well as their porosity, structure, taste and smell. In the evaluation, a 100-point scale was used; the bagel submitted by Cannelle Bakery received top marks and the GOLD diploma for exceptional quality of bread. The jury experts, all established professionals who share a common understanding of the quality of bread, recognised our bagel as an excellent product, possessing a very distinct aroma.
