On May 4, the President of Latvia, Raimonds Vējonis, visited Salda on a regional working visit. During the visit, the President got acquainted with the production process of "Cannelle Bakery" and met with the management of the company.

The visit gave the opportunity to introduce the president to the company, its operational directions and development vision, as well as to discuss challenges and their possible solutions in order to promote the competitiveness of Latvian companies not only in Latvia, but also internationally.

"Today, during my visit to Saldus region, I was convinced that Latvian small and medium-sized companies are also able to successfully export their products not only to the Baltic states, but also to other countries of the European Union and beyond. At the same time, Latvian entrepreneurs are able to create new solutions to develop niche products and provide added value to products already on the market," Raimonds Vējonis acknowledged.
