About Cannelle Bakery

The origins of Cannelle Bakery date back to 1973 when it baked its first loaf of traditional Latvian rye bread.

Since then, the company has grown, expanded its range of products and gained recognition within the bread and pastry market both in Latvia and abroad.

In 2012, the company came under the management of three experienced industry specialists Ivars Skrebelis and Bruno Ansons, who, based on traditions and latest industry trends, defined the company’s main course of activity – development of high quality frozen bread and pastry products under the brand of Cannelle Bakery.

Over time, through investments and modernisation of the bakery, the company has experienced growth in line with Western standards and good management principles: significantly more optimised production processes, new production equipment, received the internationally recognised British Retail Consortium (BRC) Global Standards for Food Safety certificate, International Featured Standard (IFS) in food safety and quality in food manufacturing certificate, as well as RSPO, Kosher and BIO certificates.

The brand was created for the busy and busy city dweller who wants to live healthy but does not want to give up comfort, is open to new ideas and wants to get to know the world.

The American Bagel

The best known American bagels in the world bear the name The American Bagel. It combines the best qualities of a real American bagel, such as taste, texture, appearance and smell.

Saldus maiznieks

In 2022, Cannelle Bakery invested in the development of a rye bread workshop, continuing the tradition of Saldus Maiznieks bread baking.

Krippu

Krippu is an innovative product made according to a special recipe and technology. The main component of krippu is Turkish news. Perfect for vegans!

All rye bread is produced only at the factory in Kuldīgas Street
The BIO certification is completed and the production of "Krippu" is started at the Satiksmes iela factory
A US patent is issued for a bagel-making process
2022
The company acquires SIA "Saldus Maiznieks", expanding the range of offered products and the number of production plants
Investments are being made in the production plant on Kuldīgas Street, adapting it for the production of rye bread
Within the framework of "Riga Food 2022" receive a Gold diploma in the "Food as medicine" competition for the proposed "Grain bread without added sugar"
"Cannelle Bakery" acquires the Turkish pea crackers "Krippu" business

"Biezpiennelle" receives the title of Finalist at the "Gulfood 2021" exhibition in Dubai

The main production plant of the company is moved from Skrunda to Salda
